Cast

Krista Pearl McAtee, or Nicole for short, plays Ligaya. She was born in Connecticut to parents Lawrence McAtee and Gigi McAteee and speaks English, Tagalog and Ilongo. She won Most Photogenic in the Little Miss Philippines-California pageant in 2006.

Most recently, she played Elvira in the elementary school rendition of "Scarface" by Mark Klasfield which became a huge hit on YouTube.  She has also been in "Workaholic" for comedy central, "Were Born for This" for NBC Productions and has done commercials for Direct TV and McDonalds. Nicole is actively involved at John Casablancas acting school, Loudmouth Studio for commercial workshop with casting director Pamela Campos, Actor Site, and Lori Lively acting workshop.

Nicole is a straight A honor roll student and is a diligent daughter with a compassionate heart. At home she likes to help in her own little way with household chores with her mother. She loves to hang out with friends, sing, dance, draw, read and do fashion design. Her favorite TV shows are Disney Channel, Suite Life on Deck and Shake it up.

She has never given up on her dream to become and actress.  Her mother is very proud of her because of her talent and the love and care she shows to her family.

Vladimir Velasco plays the role of Lolo. After having lived in New York City, Missoula, Montana and Honolulu, Hawaii, Los Angeles has been home since 1975. He tutored under Ms. Sonia Moore in New York, earned his BFA in Theatre from the Univ. of Montana at Missoula and pursued his graduate work in theatre at the Univ. of Hawaii in Honolulu. While in Hawaii, he had guest spots in “Hawaii 5-0”, was the house model for Liberty House and for a few years was a featured performer in the Hilton Hawaiian Dome extravaganza, “ Paradise Found”. Since moving to Los Angeles, he has numerous credits on television such as “ Hardy Boys”, “Gallagher”, “Simon & Simon”, “Star Trek”. “Bring’em Back Alive”, “Gold Monkey”. “JAG” to name a few. Vladimir is an active member of SAG and AFTRA and is also a part of the community-based East West Players in Los Angeles. He is Lolo to two beautiful toddlers-his granddaughter and grandson.

Angela Baesa plays Ligaya's mom. Angela is the second youngest of five daughters to lovely and supportive parents. She graduated from De La Salle University, Philippines, major in BS Biology as a pre-med course. Passionate about acting, she decided not to pursue medicine. Angela has acted in several stage plays, commercials and was a featured extra in several tv and feature films in Manila. Angela took acting training and stage management at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and continued to study acting with Monique Wilson at New Voice Company. She has also trained jazz dance with Power Dance. Angela is currently taking acting classes with Anthony Meindl at the Anthony Meindl Acting Workshop in Melrose. In her spare time, she enjoys to run, rock climb and scuba dive. She also loves chocolates and anything ube flavored.
